Vancouver Fashion Week 2015

The first jeweler ever invited to present at Vancouver Fashion Week, Paloma Sanchez was invited to show her latest collections - SENSES and the Imperial Collection featuring antique Kingfisher Art - at the 25th Season of the Vancouver Fashion Week.
Making a grand first impression, the audience was captivated by the breathtaking Australian opal and diamond set Paloma chose to represent her brand at the Opening Gala.

The SENSES Collection

Paloma created SENSES, a unique collection appealing to one’s senses, and her catwalk was equally creative in inspiring and engaging all of the audience’s senses.

Paloma decided to neutralize the space with complete darkness. Amber scent was infused throughout in the room, engaging the sense of smell. Paloma commissioned music for the ears that emulated the different sounds of diamonds falling into water, pearls rolling on an agate table, rubies and sapphires shaking inside a hand. Finally, the sight of jewelry: models, in black head-to-toe cat suits, became almost invisible walking in a dark room. The only light was the spotlight focused on their jewelry, coming from their handheld flashlights.  The disembodied effect was of the jewelry floating visually through the air. On view: metal, gemstones, copper, bird feathers, all the different textures of the components of Paloma Sanchez’s creations were a feast to tempt touch. Lastly, audience members were treated with a parting gift of special jewelry made with edible sugar crystals (on gold chains) for a final taste.
