The Silver A’ Design Award designated designs are tremendously brilliant and exceedingly creative works that illustrate the outstanding expertise, talent and acuity of their designers.

Our award-winning pieces, Core and Origins, will be featured in A’ Design Award’s coveted 2022/2023 yearbook pages 108 and 95.

Over our brand's 15-year history, Paloma Sanchez, The Art of Jewelry has won numerous design competitions, including the Golden Prestige prize in the Biennial International Lightning Ridge Opal Design Competition in Australia, and several other international awards.

We are proud to remain at the forefront of creative design and keep on being recognized for our continued commitment to excellent Chinese craftsmanship and truly unique and innovative creations.

Our award-winning creations embody our core values of uniqueness, creativity, and respect for nature. These remarkable designs celebrate individuality, ignite imagination, and pay homage to the intricate beauty of the natural world. They serve as a testament to our commitment to crafting exceptional and sustainable creations.

Core draws inspiration from the remarkable process by which gemstones are formed. The intense pressure and heat these natural elements undergo give birth to the stunning treasures that captivate our senses. It is this very process that serves as the foundation for the necklace's design.

The centerpiece of the necklace is a breathtaking 2.5cts natural Sri Lankan pink sapphire, which represents the pinnacle of natural beauty that results from this process. This gemstone, like all precious gems, is a true marvel to behold, having slowly grown over time into a coveted treasure that nature offers us.

Complementing this beautiful sapphire are two Silicon specimens representing the earth’s crust, from which these gems are born. These specimens were carefully selected for their dark color and rough texture, being a stark contrast to the bright pink and smooth faceting of the sapphire. Together, these elements create a truly exceptional piece of jewelry that celebrates the remarkable process by which gemstones are formed.

The necklace serves as a timeless reminder of the beauty and wonder of the natural world, a treasure to be cherished and admired for years to come.

Origins is inspired by human history and diversity and celebrate the importance of repurposing antique treasures. It pays tribute to the Anishinaabe people and their rich history, using a 3,000-year-old copper spear point fishing tool as its centerpiece. The piece is hand-crafted in 18kt gold using a casting technique, and features Japanese Akoya pearls and diamonds.

The design presents two main challenges - how to ensure the harpoon sits straight and remains functional, and how to manufacture it without subjecting the delicate museum piece to high pressure or temperatures.

The result is a unique and captivating piece that reflects the Anishinaabe worldview and their skilled craftsmanship, and exudes luxurious allure while remaining faithful to their deep reverence for nature.
